Wiley Glindell Gosnell of Lindsay was born on August 20, 1935 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Jesse Lee Gosnell and Emma Bell (Slate) Gosnell. He passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in his home at the age of 82 years.Wiley was a lifetime resident of Lindsay where he graduated from Lindsay High School in 1954. He married Ruby Scoggins on October 4, 1954 in Lindsay. He worked as a roustabout and welder in the oilfield and also farmed. Wiley enjoyed spending time with his family and supporting his children showing their livestock. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, his dogs, his pigs, and riding his horses, especially in the parades. He liked westerns and was an reader of Louis L’Amour books. Wiley was a self-taught guitarist. He was an elder and teacher of Murray Hill Church of Christ and his church was very important to him. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.His survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ruby of the home.A son, Tony Gosnell and wife Retha of Lindsay.Daughter, LaDonna Bullard and husband Derek of Tulsa.Sister, Margeruite Woerle of Colorado Springs, Colorado.Grandkids: Jarrod Gosnell wife Amanda of Copan, OK, Jesse Gosnell of Lindsay, Justin Gosnell of Lindsay, Travis Gosnell and wife Ashlynn of Lindsay, Tyler Gosnell of Lindsay, Kayla Forehand and husband Chad of Maysville, Odella Keith husband Brandon of Maysville, Cameron Phillips of Maysville, and Keitha White and spouse Alfred of Maysville.Great grandkids: Kaden & Pistyl Gosnell, Steely Gosnell, Presley Gosnell, Harlow Forehand, Ava & Ella Keith, Gambit GrayLee and Kage White. Wiley was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Emma Gosnell; a son, Mark Alan Gosnell; brothers, C. O. Gosnell and Everette Stinnett; sisters: Esther Rainey, Eunice Huddleston, and Elva Trammel.A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, December 1, 2017 at Winans Funeral Home, 405 Sixth Street, Maysville, OK.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Murray Hill Church of Christ in Lindsay, OK with Jerry McCorkle and Meredon Cable officiating.
