Wilma Ruth Bowen

Wilma Ruth Bowen of Maysville was born on February 25, 1940 in Maysville, Oklahoma to Marion Harris and Hazel (McManus) Harris and passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years.Wilma was a lifetime resident of Maysville where she graduated Maysville High School in 1959. She married Clarence Eugene Bowen on August 1, 1959 at the First Baptist Church in Maysville, and she enjoyed working beside him. She loved spending time with her family. Wilma enjoyed painting pictures, being with her dachshunds, Rusty and Montgomery, gardening, crocheting, collecting what-knots, sewing and she even taught her son, Tim how to sew. She attended the First Baptist Church in Maysville. Wilma will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.Her survivors include her husband of 58 years, Clarence of the home in Maysville.A son, Timmy Lynn Bowen and wife Janette of Karnes City, Texas.Daughter, Deborah Sue Bowen of Oklahoma City.Sister, Lee Wanda McCurtain of Maysville.Brothers, Marion Don Harris and wife Marsha of Maysville; and Ronnie Harris and wife Linda of Pauls Valley.Grandchildren: Laci Rogers, Brayden Bowen, and Bianca Olivarez.Great grandchildren: Nicolas Rogers, Ashlynn Rogers, Joshua Rogers, Athena Morrow, and Briella Halsey.Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Hazel Harris; and brothers, L. D. Harris, Sonny Harris, and a younger brother.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, Maysville with Rev. Billy Davenport officiating.
