Wilma Mae Adams was born to Ray Lonnie Hughes and Belva Elizabeth (Cooper) Hughes on August 28, 1935 in Lindsay, Oklahoma. She passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 in Norman.
Wilma has lived in Lindsay all of her life, graduating from Lindsay High School in 1953. She married Melvin “Block” Adams on March 21, 1953. Together they owned and operated their own business, Garvin Paint. Wilma loved her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed sewing, flowers, making big gardens, and mowing her yard. She also had a love for all of her animals and being outdoors. Wilma was a member of the Erin Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters: Beth Adams-Hadley and Ronnie of Lindsay, Jana Kay Parks and Larry of Pauls Valley, and Lisa Adams of McCloud; grandchildren: Marsha, Darel, Shawnda, Jimmie Dawn, Sarah, Keisha, Krystal, Adam, and Josh; great grandchildren: Nathan, Trenton, Haileigh, Ashley, Bailey, Logan, Joshua, Kylee, David, Kate, Angel Baby Amy Lynn, Melvin, Christopher, Sadie, David Lee, Aiden, Rider, Hadley; and great-great grandchildren: Jason Avery, Aurora, Jaylen, Oakleigh, Raven.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Belva Hughes; husband, Melvin “Block” Adams; grandson, Darel Parks; great granddaughter, Amy Lynn Shoop; brother, James Hughes; sister, Juanita Cox.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay with Larry Parks officiating. Burial will be under the direction of John W.
