William "Billy" Arthur James, Jr.

William Arthur James, Jr. (Billy Costner) from Maysville was born on December 11, 1952 to Billy H. Costner and Goldie Mae (Singleton) Costner. He passed from this life on January 18, 2021 in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years.

William was a lifetime resident of Oklahoma having gone to school in Maysville, OK. He was married to Peggy Wright for 35 Years. William worked in the oilfield his entire life. William loved to talk to people and telling jokes never repeating the same joke twice. He loved spending time with his family including his grandkids. He really loved fishing especially when the crappie was biting.

His survivors include his ex-wife Peggy of Maysville. His son Jim Demaree of Lawrence, KS. His son Mike James and wife Cheri of Seguin, Tx.
His daughter Lisa James of Duncan, OK. His sister Penny Weatherford and husband Lynn of Pauls Valley, OK. Nephews Johnny and BJ Weatherford of Pauls Valley, OK. 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

William was preceded in death by his parents Goldie Mae Costner and Billy H Costner.

A celebration of life will be planned for first of summer at his favorite fishing spot at Waurika Lake.
