Wanda Carolyn (Harmon) Springfield-Winans of Norman was born on January 12, 1944 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Ted and Tiny Francine (Wallen) Harmon and passed away on March 29, 2018 in her home at the age of 74 years.Wanda grew up in the Maysville/Antioch area, starting school in the Davis Community which was located west of Antioch, then she transferred to Maysville where she graduated from Maysville High School in 1961. She was always a hard worker starting as a teen at the Dairy Bar and then babysitting for local families. Wanda worked various jobs in Ardmore, as a receptionist in a doctor’s office and as the secretary for the Chamber of Commerce. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1984 where she worked in commercial real estate as a property manager. She was encouraged by her co-workers to get her RPA and it was very rare at that time for a woman to be licensed as a RPA, but Wanda worked and studied to become a Real Property Administrator- RPA and proudly placed those letters as her professional title. She continued as a RPA, managing professional office buildings in Oklahoma City where she became the professional building manager of the Medical Office Buildings at Integris Baptist before retiring in 2007.In the early 1990's Wanda enjoyed traveling to Nashville with her son, Scott Springfield as he performed in the music venues of Nashville. She was his agent, the motor home driver and # 1 fan.Wanda married Dr. Bill Winans on November 3, 2007 in Oklahoma City and they moved from Oklahoma City to Norman where they made their home until Bill’s death in 2011.Her survivors include her sisters-in-laws, Linda Couch and husband Gary of Purcell and Bobby Lou Williams and husband Johnny Bob of Maysville.Brother-in-law, Raymond Cobb of Purcell.Nieces and nephews: Renee Doyle and husband Brett of Caddo; Ted Cobb of Purcell; Randy Harman and wife Sheila of Carney; Clinton Harmon and wife Kelly of Blanchard; John W. Williams and wife Theresa of Maysville; Brad Williams and wife Jerri of Edmond; and Libby Thomas of Lebanon, Tennessee.And many cousins and friends.Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Tiny Harmon; son, Scott Springfield; husband, Dr. Bill Winans; brother, Vernon Geral (Sonny) Harmon; and sisters, Joyce Lea Cobb and Patricia Kay Harmon. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Noble Assembly of God Church, Noble, OK with Rev. Steve Lance and Rev. Charles Dean officiating. Burial of the cremains will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Pauls Valley, OK under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
