Wanda Myrle Davenport

January 22, 1932 — March 30, 2020

Wanda Myrle Davenport of Paoli was born on January 22, 1932 in Precinct 2, Hall County, Texas to William Homer and Vera Ruth (Smith) Duke. She passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years.

Wanda married Howard Davenport on February 27, 1953. She was a wonderful woman, a great mother, and in her eyes her children never did anything wrong. She wanted to baby everyone and didn’t want her children to grow up. Wanda loved to cook and every morning breakfast was on the table and lunch was taken to the field when needed. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens. She was a member of the Maysville church of Christ. Wanda will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left behind to cherish her memories her children and their families: Brenda Agee of Pauls Valley; Linda Self of Pauls Valley; Katty (Sam) Easlon of Foster; Mike (April) Davenport of Wynnewood; Cindy Davenport of Tulsa; Anthony (Kim) Davenport of Pauls Valley, and Jeff (Kerri) Davenport of Paoli.
16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Davenport, grandson, Jeremy Householder; sisters, Jean Baird and Margie Baird; and brothers, Jimmy , Jackie, and Billy Duke.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma with Herb McCaleb officiating. Burial will be under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
