Twanna Jean Whitefield

Twanna Jean Whitefield of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, was born June 11, 1962, to Lester and Mina (Williams) Duke in Dallas, Texas and passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on June 2, 2023, at the age of 60 years.

Twanna grew up in Texas and graduated from high school in North Garland, Texas in 1980.  She was a mother of two, grandma, great grandmother and was known as “Pawmaw” to her grand animals.  Twanna loved to crochet and she was very gifted at it.  She would often share that gift with those she loved with baby blankets, afghans, rugs and other special gifts. (Not giving away who her favorite grand dog was, by making Max, and only him a green and blue colored afghan that went back and forth with from his home to Pawmaw’s with when he stayed with her.) . Her family was very important to her and she loved spending time with them and her dearly loved grand animals. Twanna had a green thumb and enjoyed sweet tea.  Twanna loved Jesus and he was her best friend.  

Survivors include: daughters: Kerri Webb and Kolby of Newcastle, Oklahoma and Heather Reames and JW of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; brother: Rickey Duke of Durant, Oklahoma; sisters: Marsha Rogers of Hot Springs, Arrkansas and Charlotte Crawford of Quinland, Texas and granchildren: Tayler, Lane, and John, ; and grand animals: Max, Oakley, Fin, Niko and Noodle.

Proceeded in death by her parents, Lester and Mina Duke.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, June 16, 2023, at The Glory Barn, 6400 SE 89th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with Pastor Norma Johnson officiating.   Arrangements under the direction of John W.
