Tommie "Imogene" Morton Green

October 17, 1933 — February 9, 2022

Tommie Imogene Morton Green of Maysville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the age of 88 years. She was born on October 17, 1933 in Madill, Oklahoma to Ora and Hazel (Rushing) Phillips.

Imogene moved to Maysville when she was 15 years old. She met J. B. Morton and they were married on August 12, 1950 and to this union six children were born. After J. B. passed away in 1978, she met William “Bill”Green and they were married in June of 1980 and he preceded her in death on May 4, 2018. She was a devoted homemaker who loved her family dearly and always enjoyed cooking for them. Imogene was the loudest mother in the stands at the ball games and a huge supporter of the FFA program. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and the church’s song leader for many, many years. Imogene was a faithful prayer warrior who loved music and singing, it was one of the many gifts the Lord had given her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are her children: Earl Morton and wife Vickie, Huey Morton and wife Pam, Curtis Morton and wife Dana, Keith Morton and wife Debbie all of Maysville, and Connie Sanchez and husband Robert of Lampasas, Texas. And a loving stepdaughter, Barbara Royal of Bethany.
A total of 53 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and she also had numerous other relatives.
Sister, Janell McKee and husband Bill of Pauls Valley.
Brothers; Jim Phillips of Oklahoma City and David Phillips and his wife, Debbie of Ardmore.
Sisters-in-law; Myron Phillips and Joyce Gay Phillips.

Imogene was preceded in death her parents, Ora and Hazel Phillips; husbands, J. B. Morton and William “Bill” Green; and son, Karl Clayton “Skipper” Morton; great grandson, Kolton Carter; brothers, Calvin Phillips and Dennis Phillips

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the First Assembly of God Church, Maysville with Bro. Johnny Tyler officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Oklahoma.
