Shelly Renee Brantley of Purcell was born on May 16, 1957 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Clinton and Bonnie Fay (Jaco) Merrick and she passed away very unexpectedly from this life on Sunday, May 20, 2018 in their home at Lake Texoma, Kingston, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years.Shelly grew up in Oklahoma City where she graduated from U. S. Grant High School in 1975. She worked for 30 years as an office manager for Evans Electric. She married David Brantley on March 9, 1992 on the pond at Lake Texoma. Earlier this year, they moved from Moore to Purcell. Shelly loved spending time with her family especially her two grandchildren and she liked entertaining them. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, crafts, interior design, decorating houses, playing golf with the Purcell Ladies Golf Association. She also enjoyed being outdoors and their life at Lake Texoma. Shelly will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her husband, David of the home.Parents, Clinton and Bonnie Merrick of Oklahoma City. A daughter, Julie Mitchell of Moore.Grandchildren: Brantley Mitchell of Moore and Justus Brantley of Purcell.Sisters: Vickie Jefferson and husband Victor of Kingston; and Jo Fendrych and husband Jimmie of Mustang.A brother-in-law, Steven Martin of Midwest City.Shelly was preceded in death by her son, Steven Mitchell and a sister, Marla Martin.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the: American Heart Association, 3401 NW 63rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Abundant Love Fellowship, 12th & Mays Avenue, Maysville, OK with Rev.
