Richard Eldon Wilson of Lindsay was born on July 6, 1935 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to George and Juanita (Robertson) Wilson. He passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 in Lindsay at the age of 86 years.
Richard was a lifetime resident of Lindsay, graduating from Lindsay High School in 1953. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force in Germany. He married Margie Holden on June 16, 1975 in Gainesville, Texas. Richard had worked at Doyle King Furniture Store and Goodner’s Grocery Store before retiring. He loved his family and spending time with them. He was a great father and a great supporter of his whole family. Richard enjoyed taking care of his “grand horse”. He was very meticulous about his yard and liked tinkering around with things. He and Margie enjoyed driving around and sight seeing on their road trips they took on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Richard will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Margie of the home; son, Blake Wilson of Lindsay and daughter, Cheri Wilson of Arizona. Grandchildren: Cecily Munn, Ashlee Cecil, Laci Wilson; and great grandchildren: Carlee Munn, Kameron Cecil, James Harrell, and Aniyah Cecil.
Sister, Carolyn Robinson of Oklahoma City.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, George and Juanita Wilson; and brothers, Glenn Wilson and Dale Wilson.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Erin Springs Baptist Church with Brother Clay Hicks officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay, OK under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Oklahoma.
