Rhonda Sue Olney was born on December 7, 1951, in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Burl Holland and Lois “Faye” Keeney and passed away peacefully with her family right by her side holding her hand on March 5, 2024, at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma.
Rhonda served in many different roles over the years. She was a truck driver, worked in a laundry mat, helped take care of the elderly, housekeeping, and an extraordinary homemaker. She loved playing cards and dominoes. When she won, boy would she rub it in. She enjoyed going to the zoo with her grandbabies, traveling, camping and spending time at the lake with family. She enjoyed watching The Price Is Right, Let’s Make a Deal, and her soap operas with a diet dr. pepper in hand.
Rhonda devoted her entire life to her children and all her grandbabies and continues to influence their lives. She was the anchor and strength of our family, building unique and personal relationships with each of her children and grandbabies. Each one had a special place in her heart.
Rhonda was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and a true friend that will be dearly missed but dearly remembered. To all that knew her, she was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her. We will miss our “Grams” always and there will never be another quite like her.
Survived by: her husband, Richard Olney, Sr.; sons, Edward Gonzales, Richard Olney, Jr. and Steven Olney; daughter, Loretta Gonzales; grandchildren: Felicia Gonzales, Vincent Gonzales, Darrick Gonzales, Jericho Gonzales, and Jaiden Whiteman-Olney; and 12 great grandchildren.
