Ray Odell of Lindsay was born on November 23, 1929 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Harvey and Lila (Williams) Odell and passed from this life on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in his home at the age of 88 years.Ray married Lucille Lewis on September 3, 1949 in Pratt, Kansas. He was very knowledgeable in construction where he worked as a construction supervisor for Dresser Engineering and Trend Construction building gasoline plants all over the United States. Ray was also a great carpenter and had built a house for them to live in at one time. He did electrical and plumbing of all kinds. He was a generous person, a loving father, and a family man who enjoyed spending quality time with his family and going fishing. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.His survivors include his wife of 68 years, Lucille of the home.Daughters, Raylene Selman of Dibble, OK and Donna Mapes and husband Roy Proctor of Monahans, TX. Grandchildren and great grandchildren: Libby McKinzie and her son, Tracey Cox; Ambra Napier and husband, Mike and their children, Skye Strouhal, Ashton Strader, Sterling Gunter, and Conner Napier; Charissa Hannabass and husband, Scott and their children, Logan Hannabass and Serenity Hannabass; and Levi Giles and Tamsyn Giles.And a nephew, Josh Brownen.Ray was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Lila Odell; brothers, Roy Odell and Wilbur Odell; sisters, Mary Aerter and Bertha Rushing.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay with Rev.
