Perry Gene Farley of Lindsay, Oklahoma was born on February 19, 1933 in Crescent, Oklahoma to Perry and Wilnor (Egelston) Farley and he passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 in Jones, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years.
Perry grew up in Crescent and married Adele Hancock on June 1, 1953. He made Lindsay his residence for 32 years. During his working years, he was a truck driver in the oilfield. It was a joy for him to visit with his family and friends. Perry was blessed with the gift of gab and always had a story to tell. He enjoyed traveling, going to junk yards and tractor shows, and building model trucks and tractors. Another one of Perry’s favorite pastimes was going out to eat. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his sisters: Nina Harris of Norman, Dina Stinnett of Michigan, Nancy Dillard of Lindsay, and Margaret Keeler and Joe of Lindsay,
Grandchildren: Jason and Ursula Perry, Jackie Sharp, Josh and Jamie Farley, Jacob and Becca Farley, and Travis and Jennifer Powell. Great grandchildren: Seth, Kamryn, Morgyn, Cloe, Hayden, Dakota, Noah, Reagan, Jolene, John Jacob, Eli, Nate, Lillian, Ella, and Rustin.
Perry was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Wilnor Farley; wife, Adele Farley; children, Steven Wade Farley and Shannon Lee Powell; and brothers: John Farley, Grant Farley, and Mike Farley.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay, OK with Bro. Dennis Yates officiating. Burial is under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome
