Patricia Ann Tecumseh was born on July 14, 1964, in Detroit, MI. She passed on January 4, 2025, in Durant, OK.
Patricia’s family returned to Tulsa, OK when she was an infant. She lived in various places in Oklahoma with her family including Bokoshe, Lindsay, Okmulgee and Durant. If you were to ask her, she would tell you that Lindsay was her home. She lived there for more than half her life and had numerous friends and family members there. Even though she lived with her sister for the last four years, she was always eager to visit home.
Patricia was active by attending elder luncheons, playing chair volleyball, visiting friends around town, going to the casino, playing bingo, doing word searches, giving “fishing lessons", making trips to Wal-Mart and getting sweet teas at McDonalds.
She loved jewelry, especially the necklaces her brother Larry would give her each time she visited. Every payday she could be found in the purse section at Wal-Mart or at garage sales adding to her collection. She proudly used each one and sometimes changed purses multiple times in a single day. Patricia knew phone numbers by heart and was famous for her super short phone calls.
Her best friend was her cat, Ruby. It was supposed to be her sister’s cat, but Ruby decided Patricia was her person. They spoke a secret language and Patricia always made sure Ruby was fed when Ruby asked. Even though Patricia never took naps, she and Ruby would often be seen sitting together in her chair with their eyes closed.
Everyone she met was her friend even if she couldn’t remember their name. She complained when people would tease and aggravate her but secretly, she craved the attention. She stayed busy making her “circles” (coasters) that she would gift to friends, family members and random people who interacted with her. She would always say “I made this for you” even if she had never met you before. It was her way of saying you were special to her.
One thing Patricia loved most in this world was Santa Claus. Her eyes would light up when she saw him and she was always ready to get a picture with the big guy. You couldn’t help but smile at her childlike excitement. It was in those moments that her innocence was most evident.
Patricia is preceded in death by her father, J.B. Tecumseh, her mother, Nancy Feather, her brother, Brett Tecumseh, and nephew Tre’ Mason. She is survived by her step-father, John Feather, brothers Carl and wife Holly Tecumseh, Larry Tecumseh and girlfriend Vickie Johnson, sisters Pamela Willis, Nancy and husband Alfred Mason, her nieces, Kristi Tecumseh and fiancé Tyler Newby, Brandi Tecumseh and husband Brian Davis, Laura Mason, and nephews, Dustin and wife Jessica Tecumseh, Scott Manning and wife Kim, Dusty Manning, Charles Mason, David Tecumseh, Michael Tecumseh, and Robert Tecumseh and three great nephews and a great niece, aunts, cousins and many friends.
