Pamela Kaye Buchanan

Pamela Kaye Buchanan of Blanchard was born on September 26, 1957 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to William Duane and Ramona C. (Reynolds) Brakefield. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 18, 2022 in her home at the age of 64 years.

Pam grew up in Wayne where she graduated from Wayne High School in 1975. She married the love of her life, Michael Buchanan on August 14, 1976 in Wayne.
To this union two children were born, Audrey and Adam. Pam had worked as a secretary for the Hartford Insurance in the Livestock Department. She loved her family and was known as Mime to her grandchildren whom she adored. She enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and spending time with her cats. Pam had a great sense of humor and was ornery up to the end. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are her husband of 46 years, Michael of the home; daughter, Audrey Danielle Lovelace and her husband Gus of Blanchard; and grandchildren, Stormi Danielle Lovelace and Aldan Jace “AJ” Lovelace.
Her mother, Ramona Brakefield of Dibble; and brother Pat Brakefield and wife Teresa of Wayne.

Pam was preceded in death by her father, Duane Brakefield and son, Michael Adam Buchanan.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville with arrangements under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Words of comfort can be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
