Noel Barton Burdette

Noel Barton Burdette of Oklahoma City was born on September 29, 1940 in Brownwood, Texas to Louis and Elsie (Lambert) Burdette. He passed away on October 23, 2019 in Oklahoma City at the age of 79 years. Noel lived his early years in Goldthwaite, Texas and then his family moved to Maysville, Oklahoma. He was a 1959 graduate of Maysville High School and attended technical school to become an I. T. Programmer. He married Nancy Whitbeck on June 10, 1967 in the First United Methodist Church, Maysville. They lived in Dallas, Texas before moving to Oklahoma City in 1971. Noel owned his own data processing company, Datacom Services. He also did data processing for Anthony’s and retired from Hertz Rental Car. He loved his family and spending time with them. Noel was a great conversationalist and enjoyed a good visit. He liked to smoke his pipe while sitting on his front porch. He was a fan of the University of Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys and he enjoyed fishing, especially in Canada. Noel was a member of the Crown Heights Christian Church. His survivors include his sons: Jason Burdette and wife Aurora of Choctaw and Jonathan Burdette and wife Laura of Oklahoma City.Grandchildren: Ella Burdette, Alejandro Burdette, Jarah Burdette, and Sarah Grace Burdette.Sisters: Lorain Bonney of Abilene, Texas and Pat Green and husband Carl of Maysville. Noel was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Elsie Burdette; and his wife, Nancy Burdette. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crown Heights Christian Church - Youth Fund, 4020 N. Western Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73118 Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the Maysville Cemetery with Rev. Aaron Krueger officiaiting.
