Nancy W. Burdette of Oklahoma City was born on November 18, 1942 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Edward Allen and Lola Grace (Lawson) Whitbeck and passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at her home in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 75 years.Nancy was a 1961 graduate of Albuquerque High School in New Mexico. She married Noel Burdette on June 10, 1967 at the First United Methodist Church in Maysville, Oklahoma. They moved from Dallas, Texas to Oklahoma City in 1971. She worked as a secretary for Kerr-McGee, then for the Oklahoma Agricultural Board, the Election Board, and sold Avon with the help of her boys for 8 years. Nancy loved her family and spending time with them and when her children were growing up she was very active in the PTA and being a Boy Scout den mother. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, cross stitch, fishing, flower gardening, and reading anything western. She was a member of the Crown Heights Christian Church and she liked to go on trips with the choir and bell choir, they had even traveled to Europe to perform. Nancy will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Her survivors include her husband of 50 years, Noel of the home in Oklahoma City.Sons: Jason Burdette and wife Aurora of Choctaw; Jonathan Burdette and wife Laura of Oklahoma City.Sisters: Jane Temerlin of Portland, Oregon; Anne Garcia of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Connie Monson.Brothers: Greg Monson, Alex Monson, and Jim Monson.Grandchildren: Ella Burdette, Alejandro Burdette, Jarah Burdette, and Sarah Grace Burdette.Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lola Whitbeck.Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Maysville Cemetery with Aaron Krueger officiating. Burial is under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville.
