Mary Ellen Wallace

Mary Ellen Wallace of Maysville was born on September 25, 1939 in Whitebead, Oklahoma to Les and Clarabell (Dunnigan) Sorrels. She was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, October 30, 2020 at the age of 81 years.

Mary was lifetime resident of Garvin County, living in Pauls Valley before moving to Maysville 22 years ago. She married Kenny Wallace on May 7, 1977 in Gainesville, Texas. She was a retired care giver that retired from the Pauls Valley State School. Mary loved her family and getting to spend time with them was very important to her. She enjoyed following Kenny around and doing anything he wanted to do. She liked to garden, can fruits and vegetables, and grow beautiful flowers. Mary was a member of the Eastside Holiness Church and she loved her church, reading her Bible, and studying the Word.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Kenny of the home.
Sons: William Bone and wife Melanie of Oklahoma City; Joe Bone of Moore; and Donnie Bone of Lindsay.
Daughters: Janice Clements and husband Ricky of Oklahoma City; and Susie Walker of Oklahoma City.
Step-daughters: Vickie Wyrick of Henryetta and Kim Griffits of Muskogee.
Brother, Ray Sorrels and wife Barbara of Sentinel.
Grandchildren: Chad, Cody, Courtney, Jaime, Josh, Jacob, Matthew, Heather Marie, Christopher Dean, Blake, and Dakota.
Great grandchildren: Dorie, Cash, Ace, Alexis, CD, Lacey, Angelina, Collins, McKinley, Brooklyn, Braden, Kaleb, Logan, Hailea, Junior, Carter, Cheyanne, and a new great-great granddaughter, Reign.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Les and Clarabell Sorrels; grandson, Kevin Stewart; brothers, Denny, Darrell, and Robert Sorrels; and sisters, Hazel Griffin, Irene O’Neal, Faye Allensworth, Ruby McArty, and Lucy Johnson.

Social distancing will be in place at the cemetery.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at the Maysville Cemetery with Bro. Steve Mayhan and Bro. Les Perry officiating. Burial is under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
