Mary "Nita" Anita Gillespie

Mary Anita “Nita” Gillespie of Lindsay was born on August 16, 1961 in Ringling, Oklahoma to Roland and Cora Lanova “Nova” (Morgan) Jetton. She passed from this life on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 59 years.

Nita lived in Lindsay most of her life, graduating from Lindsay High School in 1979. She had previously worked as head of security at the Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City. She loved the color purple, bedazzling everything, making jewelry, and shopping at the Dollar Tree. Nita also loved her cat, Cocoa, who was her baby. She was very talented in drawing and doing art work. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her mother, Nova Jetton of the Lindsay.
A son, Sean Gillespie and wife Amanda of Lindsay.

Nita was preceded in death by her father, Roland Jetton.

Masks and social distancing will be expected at the services.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the Pooleville Cemetery with Charles Dickerson officiating. Burial will be under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
