Mary Elizabeth Wescott Hill of Lindsay was born on October 15, 1928 in Madison, Kansas to Harris Fry, Sr. and Ada (Ott) Fry and she passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years.Mary grew up in Madison, Kansas where she graduated from high school in 1946. She married Fred Wescott and they moved from Eldorado, Kansas to Lindsay in 1967. To this union three sons were born and after Mr. Wescott’s death, Mary married Leonard Hill whom also preceded her in death. Mary was a telephone operator for a short time and she was a homemaker who loved her family and spending time with them. Mary enjoyed square dancing, her cats, shopping on television, reading, and visiting with people. For a short time, she worked at Jim-N-Jean’s Flowers. She was a member of the Erin Springs Baptist Church and a member and former President of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.Mary will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Her survivors include her three sons: Ronald Wescott and wife Imogene of Coquille, Oregon; James Wescott of Norman, OK; and Steve Wescott and wife Vicki of Lindsay, OK.A brother, Clarence Fry of Bartlesville, OK.Grandchildren: Tami Portela, Ginny Childers, Cristen Willoughby, Justin Wescott, Joshua Wescott, Stacey Elmore, 23 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harris and Ada Fry; husbands, Fred Wescott and Leonard Hill; grandson, Ron Wescott; and brother, Harris “Bud” Fry, Jr.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas with S. L. Seymour officiating. Burial will be under the direction of John W.Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
