Mary Frances Tarrant

Mary Frances Tarrant of Paoli, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 82 years. She was born on April 12, 1939 in Hughes, Oklahoma to Alton and Billie Marie (Allen) Woolsey.

Frances married Earl Edward “Ed” Tarrant on August 25, 1957 in Elmore City and were married for 55 years before he passed away in 2013. They lived in Bradley before moving to Paoli in 1968. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her grandchildren. Frances loved cooking for her family and everyone getting together to enjoy it. She liked to sew, knit, crochet, needlepoint, and gardening. She was a member of Story Baptist Church. Frances will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Her survivors include her children: Sherry Schauer and husband Dale of Elmore City; Ricky Tarrant of Paoli; and Scott Tarrant and wife Diana of Maysville.
Brothers: Glen Woolsey of Lexington and Gene Woolsey of Helena, Oklahoma.
Grandchildren: Miranda Tarrant, Shane Tarrant, Justice Tarrant, Patrick Tarrant, Neva Tarrant, Lonnie Tarrant, Bernie Tarrant, Alisha Fisher, Britany Nabors (Mark), Jennifer Baker (Jake), Dalynn Pair (Felix), Ruben Schauer, Eli Schauer, Benjamin Schauer, and Samuel Schauer; 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Billie Marie Woolsey; husband, Earl Edward “Ed” Tarrant; grandchildren, Alisha Fisher and Bernie Tarrant.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Monday, May 31, 2021 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Story Baptist Church, north of Maysville, with Bro. Tim Carr and Bro. William Fuentes officiating.
