Linda Irene Ferguson was the first-born child to Royce Kenneth and Willie Juanette (Bray) Morris. She was born in Lindsay, Oklahoma on February 23rd, 1951, and passed away in Oklahoma City on August 7, 2023, at the age of 72 years.
Linda grew up and attended grade school and middle school at Lindsay Public Schools. She completed her GED while in the military. Linda lived most of her childhood in the Purdy, Oklahoma area, spending much of that time at her grandparents’ dairy farm South of Lindsay.
Linda served years in the Army, originally stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma followed by Germany for eight years and then four years in Japan. Upon returning to the United States, she lived in Florida for five years and then moving to the Panhandle of Texas until one year ago. Linda moved back to Oklahoma City due to her health, to be closer to family and friends.
Linda enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and puzzles. She was a collector of things. If she liked an item, she bought it. Linda loved her family and she enjoyed spending time with them. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include: brothers: Jerry Kenneth Morris and Lynn G of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Danny Allen Morris of Sulphur, Oklahoma, Gary Dewayne Tow of Rush Springs, Oklahoma and Richard Lynn Tow and Debbie of Chickasha, Oklahoma; sisters: Janet Elaine Tayler and Temmey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Carol Ann Morales and Tony of Lantana, Florida; four grandchildren of Amarillo, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: her father, Royce K Morris; mother, Willie Juanette Whitaker; husband, Charles Michael “Mike” Ferguson; sons: Kenneth Wayne Barnette of Amarillo, Texas, Keven Barnette of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and infant James Keith Davis; daughter, Lisa Michelle Davis Eddington; brothers: Billy Glen Morris of Elmore City, Oklahoma, and Ronnie R. Morris.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the Senior Citizens’ Building in Maysville, Oklahoma. Burial at the Purdy Cemetery under the direction of John W.
