Linda Kaye Cosgrove

     Linda Kaye (Vaughn) Cosgrove was born on February 27, 1950, in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Frankie William and Illa Belle Vaughn. She passed peacefully on January 5, 2025, in Pauls Valley, OK at the age of 74 years.

     Linda was a homemaker and a resident of Lindsay. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and spending time at the lake. Linda enjoyed games and any time she got to spend with her family. Linda’s playful and onery spirit brought a smile to anyone who knew her.

     Linda had a passion for cooking and took great pleasure in feeding friends and family, always ensuring no one left her home hungry or without a new set of homemade wash cloths. She never lacked in letting you know what she really thought, but also let you know she loved you. Linda loved her animals and her family meant everything to her. Linda’s crazy and loving personality will be missed by all who knew her.

     Linda was survived by her daughter Dee Dee and husband Gavin Wilson of Lindsay, Sisters Brenda and husband Charlie Morrow and Vickie and husband Billy Sherwood, grandchildren Londyn Wilson of Lindsay, Bailey Wilson of Lindsay and Taylor Brooks and Blaine of Blanchard, great grandchildren Brewer Brooks, Brett Brooks, and Baron Brooks and Bowen Brooks, and three generations of nieces and nephews. 

     Linda was preceded in death by her parents Frankie and Illa Belle Vaughn, brothers Gerald Vaughn and Jerry Vaughn, grandparents Grady and Ruth Vaughn and Oscar and Marie Carter

     Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Erin Springs Baptist Church. Burial at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma under the direction of John W Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, OK. Words of comfort can be sent to the family on this website.
