Lillian Lucille Williams

Lillian Lucielle Davis Williams came into this world August 2, 1921 to Ike Davis and Maude McKee Davis at Temple, Oklahoma and departed on November 6, 2021 in her home in Lindsay, Oklahoma. She was 100 years, 3 months, and 4 days old. Muggs attended school at Temple, Oklahoma until the tenth grade. She moved with her family to Lindsay, Oklahoma in 1937, finishing high school at Hughes Consolidated. She was the last surviving member of the Hughes graduation class of 1940. On July 27th, 1940 she married Melvin Williams, Sr. and four children were born: Melvin, Jr., Florence, Alton, and Curtis.

Surviving Lillian “Muggs” Davis Williams are four children:
Melvin H. Williams, Jr. and wife Fannie of Lindsay; Florence Fredonia Williams Hix her and husband Kenneth of Moore; Pete Williams and fianceé Gayle Logsdon of Ada; and Curtis D. Williams and wife Betty of Albuquerque, NM.
16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 21 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
One sister, Ila Hayes of Shawnee, OK.

Lillian Lucielle Davis Williams was preceded in death by her husband, M. H. Williams, Sr. in April of 2001. Also her parents, six brothers, and seven sisters.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.

A Graveside Celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay, OK with burial under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
