Laura Melissa (Clark) King was born on Wednesday, November 27, 1968 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Marvin Ray Dean Clark, Sr. and Laura Faye Sumpter. She was the daughter of Marvin Ray Dean Clark, Sr. and Susan Rae Clark. She went to her heavenly home on Monday, December 7, 2020. She was 52 years old.
Laurie loved being with her children and grandchildren. She had a servant’s heart who truly loved her job of cooking for people. Everyone liked her and she was a joy to be around. Laurie was very intelligent and won many spelling bees while in school. She liked to read, facebook, tic tok and despite her age she enjoyed rap music. She loved perfumes, purses, Dr. Pepper, and chocolate. Laurie enjoyed going out to eat Chinese food and hanging out with her friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her parents; a son, CJ Robison; two daughters, Melissa Hanley and Melani Robison; grandchildren, Sophie Denham, Madelynn Phillips, Nova Hanley, Jayceon Dugar, and expected grandchildren, Myles Dugar and baby girl Hanley; siblings, Gina Milburn, Marvin Clark, David Perry, Christie Perry; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and Papa Vernon Boettler.
Laurie was preceded in death by her mom, Susan Clark; grandmothers, Jo Ann DaVoult, and Faye Boettler; and grandfather, Luke DaVoult.
Mask and social distancing will be in place at the services and cemetery.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville with Martha Mitchell and Rhonda Crosby officiating. Burial will be under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
