Laura Faye Montiel

Laura Faye Montiel was born July 3, 1953, to George Sumpter, Jr. and Letha Faye Campbell in Lindsay, Oklahoma and passed away on November 28, 2023, in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years.

Laura enjoyed professional wrestling, reading, and going to the casino.  She loved to travel.  One of her most memorable trips was going to Las Vegas and seeing Elvis Presley.  Laura loved her family and she will be deeply missed.

Survived by: her daughters: Christie Perry and Gina Milburn; sons: Marvin Clark, Jr. And David Micheal Perry; her children’s father, Dean Perry; brothers: George Sumpter, III; sisters: Cathy Hassler, Hazel Garrison, and Connie Cowley; and 14 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her parents, George Sumpter Jr. and Letha Faye Campbell;  daughter, Laurie King; and brother, Micheal Sumpter.

Viewing will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 am, on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma.  Services under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home.
