Landes Lee Clure of Maysville, age 68, went home to Jesus on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.
He was born in Wynnewood, OK on January 9, 1950 to Jasper Norvell Clure and Helen (Horton) Clure. He was the youngest of 6 children. Landes graduated from Putnam City High School in 1968, where he excelled as a wrestler. He married Patricia Wilmot on July 22, 1980 in Mazatlan, Mexico. He loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, golfing, and driving through the countryside visiting family and friends. He enjoyed playing cards and dominoes at every opportunity– rarely losing! His laughter was contagious and enjoyed by everyone. Landes always looked for the next great deal; he liked wheeling and dealing. As a constant entrepreneur, he and his wife Pat established a successful furniture business – Clure Brothers Furniture – in Cheyenne, WY. Upon retirement, they moved to Maysville, OK in 2003. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include wife Pat of 38 years; daughter, Kristi and husband Peter Rich; son, Landes Lee Clure II and fiancée Kim; 4 grandchildren, Seth Cannon and wife Victoria, Grace and husband Andre Hufnagel, Bailey Rich, and Landes Lee Clure III; brother, Bill Clure and wife Janie; brother-in-law Charles McCall; 3 sisters, Betty and husband Mike Lawson, Mary and husband Tom Pinion, Lana and husband Michell Dallal; Aunt Donna and husband Bob Riddle; brother-in-law Jesse Wilmot and wife Cindy; sister-in-law Reba Baker. Also, NUMEROUS loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Preceding in death by his parents, Jasper Norvell Clure and Helen (Horton) Clure, and sister, Barbara (Clure) McCall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Abundant Love Fellowship with Rev. Danny Gamble officiating.
