Kenneth Lee Penick

Kenneth Lee Penick of Lexington formerly of Maysville was born on March 31, 1947 in Oklahoma City to William Thomas Penick and Wilma Catherine (Vestle) Penick. He passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020 in Oklahoma City at the age of 73 years.

Kenneth grew up in Wanette and was a 1965 graduate of Wanette High School. He worked 20 + years in heating and air conditioning for Lennox Industries before retiring. He was a longtime resident of Maysville before moving to Lexington approximately 2 years ago. Kenneth loved his family and attending church. He enjoyed dancing, baseball, western movies and books, bowling, reading, and fishing, He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Maysville. Kenneth will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his sons: Jeffery Scott Penick and wife Shelley of Norman; and Steven Thomas Penick and Angela Maloney of Boston, Mass.
Daughter, Rebecca Reneé McZegle and husband William Jones of Purcell.
Sisters: Kathy Sue Penick Jones of Lake Texoma; Vetta Mae Penick McDonald of Lake Eufaula; Larie Gail Penick Ross of Slaughterville; Irma Sharlene Penick Kiser of Slaughterville; and Teresa Jane Penick Jennings and husband Lee of Chickasha.
Grandchildren: Andrew, Tiffany, Angela, Rahkia, Leah, and Ethan.
And mother of his children, Diana Lester of Purcell.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas and Wilma Catherine Penick; sister, Janice Carol Brakage; and brother, Andy Thomas Penick.

Social distancing will be in place at the cemetery.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at the Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, Oklahoma with Bro. Allen Carson officiating. Burial will be under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.net
