Joye Ray Lane

November 26, 1931 — January 30, 2022

Joye Ray Lane of Lindsay was born on November 26, 1931 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Curtis and Flossie (Robbins) Lane and he passed from this life on Sunday, January 30, 2022 in his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 90 years.

Ray was a lifetime resident of Lindsay, graduating from high school there in 1950. He married Mary Bell Ellithorp on June 14, 1953. During his working years, he was a plant machinist for Warren Petroleum. Ray and Mary owned and operated the Ice Dock in Lindsay for many years and the Ranch House Restaurant from 1980 until it sold in 2001. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle. He loved his family and getting to spend time with them. Ray enjoyed live music of all kinds and dancing. He was a member of the Jaycees and the Lindsay Methodist Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his daughters: Rhonda Collett of Noble; Tamara Stubblefield and husband Richard of Lindsay; and Kaona Mixon and husband Terry of Wallville.
Nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren plus 2 more on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sister, Barbara Thompson of Holly, Colorado.
Brother-in-law, Robert Ellithorp and wife Kathy of Wallville and sister-in-law, Sandra Ellithorp of Lindsay.
Special family friends: the Jones girls, Laurie, Julie, Gina; and Pat Idlett.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Flossie Lane; wife, Mary Bell Lane; a grandson, John Austin Beckham; and a sister, Marie Hoover.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, February 4, 2022 at Erin Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Clay Hicks officiating. Burial will be in the Erin Springs Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
