Joseph Moore of Lindsay was born on May 4, 1938 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Roosevelt and Florence (Nobles) Moore. He passed from this life on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in his home at the age of 83 years. Joseph was a resident of this area for 10 years. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force. He married Delois Miller on July 27, 1996. During his working years, he was a self-employed mechanic and truck driver in the oilfield. Joseph had also worked for the Texas Emergency Services and was a volunteer fireman. He loved his family and enjoyed family gatherings. He enjoyed cooking out, camping, fishing, being around people, and helping others. Joseph was known to do a lot of piddling around and trying to look busy. He loved all dogs and was always bringing home stray ones. He will be dearly missed. His survivors include his wife, Delois of the home. Sons: Joey Moore of California and Jeff Moore (Dana) of Louisiana. Daughters: Brenda Moore Brown (Steve) of Louisiana; Melinda Quintana of Blanchard; and Charity Barnett of Lone Grove. Brothers: Sampson Moore (Nita) of Poteau and Richard Moore (Della) of Maysville. Sisters: Marcill Fowler of Sasakwa; Rosie Casey (Ron) of Blanchard; Martha Miller (Sammy) of Lindsay; Naoma Wieler (Russell) of Illinois; and Melissa Rouse (Dewey) of Lindsay. Seven grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy Moore; and brother, Johnny Moore. No services will be held.
