John Paul Brown of Lindsay was born on December 14, 1963 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Arlen Ray Brown and Susie (Largent) Brown. He passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 58 years.
John lived in Lindsay all his life, graduating from Lindsay High School in 1983. He was an owner/operator trucker who drove cross country. He married Jody DaVoult on April 19, 1991 in Lindsay. John was known by his CB handle, “Teddy Bear”. Trucking was his passion; it wasn’t a job to him; it was his life. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. John enjoyed shooting pool, bowling, and tagging along with Jody fishing. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Jody of the home; son, Sean DaVoult (Heather) of Lindsay; daughter, Jamie DaVoult (TJ) of Lindsay; and
grandchildren: Raven, Haylee, Jr.,Oaklin, Jasper and Jady
His mother, Susie Brown of Maysville.
Brother, Alton Brown and wife Naomi of Maysville; sisters, Evon Donaho and husband David of Maysville; and Charlotte Pigg and husband Terry of Pauls Valley.
John was preceded in death by his father, Arlen Ray Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the First Assembly of God Church, Lindsay, OK with Bro. Stan Ledford and Bro. Steve Mayhan. Burial will be in the Erin Springs Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
