Joan Sue Moore

Joan Sue Moore was born on January 28, 1941, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Otis Cobb and Donnie (Harris) Cobb. She passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years.

Joan was a graduate of Seminole High School and was a retired CMA. She married Arthur “Archie” Moore on August 14, 1958, in Seminole, Oklahoma, they were married 46 years at the his passing in 2005. Joan was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Nothing made her any happier than caring for her family and her pets. Joan was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and she wrote in her daily journal. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. Joan will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Joan’s loving care givers, the staff at Lindsay Nursing and Rehab, along with Valir Hospice for the excellent care they gave to our mother.

Joan is survived by: son, Terry Wayne “Bo” Moore and Tammie of Ninnekah, Oklahoma; daughters: Cindy Grumbles and Lester of Lindsay, Oklahoma and Deena Stoddard and Darrell of Lindsay, Oklahoma; brother, Jimmy Cobb of Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Ryan Grumbles, Mallorie Jones, Emily Aynes, Joshua McKee, and Alex McKee; great grandchildren: Shawn Hasbell, Adam Hasbell, Aubrey Hasbell, Sawyer McKee, Riggs McKee, Jahcee Condit, Gambit White, Gray Lee White, Rylan Grumbles, Harlion Grumbles, Tiffany Greenwood, Aiden Jones, and Axel Jones; and great-great grandchild: Chaplin Greenwood.

Joan is preceded in death by: her parents, Otis and Donnie Cobb; husband, Arthur Moore; and sister, Norma Roach.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Burial under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
