Jo Ann Ritter

Jo Ann Ritter of Maysville was born on January 22, 1930 in Paoli, Oklahoma to Golden Grady Webster and Lenes (Ramsey) Webster and she passed from this life on Friday, August 16, 2019 in her home.

Jo Ann was a lifetime resident of this area. She married Elvin Odell Ritter on September 17, 1946 in Dallas, Texas and they made Maysville their home for many years. Odell was the love of her life and they were married for 60 years at the time of his passing. She worked at Storm Plastics for 30 years before retiring. Her style was impeccable, she could (and would) outwork anyone. Jo Ann loved her family with her entire being and always enjoyed having them all together. She was a genius at making cobblers, pies, and her beans and cornbread every Sunday, and that will be the stuff in which legends will be passed down through generations. She had a gift at growing flowers and vegetables, a whiz at puzzles, and creating beautiful embroidery. Jo Ann was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Her memories will be cherished by her family and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Her survivors include her daughters: Barbara Levis, Gloria Mears, Eulonda Albright and husband Terry, and Sharon Scarce all of Maysville.

13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren
and numerous other relatives.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Golden Grady and Lenes Webster; her husband, Odell Ritter; sisters, Marcelene Pyle, and Jackie Moore; brothers, Dick Wester and Grady Webster; sons-in-law, George Levis, Gerald Mears, and Kelly Scarce.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 19, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church, Maysville with Bro. Mike Deviney officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
