Jewel LaWanda Lane

Jewel LaWanda Lane was born on December 19, 1936, in Lindsay, Oklahoma to George and Darlis (Brown) Jensen and passed unexpectedly on December 23, 2024, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years.

Jewel was a devoted Christian living for Jesus Christ, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family unconditionally and looked forward to time spent together. Jewel loved to watch Jimmy Swaggart and Dr Robert Jeffress. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, quilting, and gardening. Jewel also enjoyed yard work and her lawnmower, “Jazee”. Jewel will be missed dearly.  

Jewel is survived by: son, Barry Lane and Lauri Kirby of Moore, Oklahoma; sister, Betty Wallace of Lindsay, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Jason and Bambi Horn, Joshua Horn, Jacob Horn, and Jeremy Horn; great grandchildren: Ethan Henshaw, Eli Horn, and Jensen Horn.

Jewel is preceded in death by: parents, George and Darlis Jensen; husband, Cecil Brent Lane; daughter, Brenda Horn; brothers, W.F. ”Dub” Jensen and Jessie Jensen; sisters, Barbara Lee and Doris Faye.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Erin Springs Cemetery. Burial is under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
