Jerod Lee Frizzell

Jerod Lee Frizzell was born August 10, 1990, to Rodney and Penny (Krug) Frizzell in Fort Worth, Texas and passed away November 20, 2023, in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 33 years.

Jerod attended Rift Valley Academy in Kijabe Kenya for his first 3 years of high school then moved to Lindsay just before his senior year and he graduated from Lindsay High School in 2008.  He attended the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma as a music major before joining the Army in 2012, where he proudly served until 2016.  Jerod received numerous awards and citations for his service.

Jerod was a very talented young man.  He enjoyed playing guitar and piano, singing, acting and generally entertaining.   He received the greatest joy when making people laugh and making them feel included. Jerod enjoyed playing video games, board games, fireworks on the 4th of July, and playing soccer for fun.  He enjoyed movies and all genres of music.  Watching a movie with him might mean listening to him quote entire scenes, in each of the characters voices or being paused multiple times to get the amazing back-story that he was well versed in.  Being able to inform him of a detail unknown to him was incredibly fun as well.

Jerod was larger than life and his family was very important to him.  He loved spending time with them, especially his cousins. He loved his daughters fiercely - anyone who knew him, knew how much he treasured them.  Jerod will be dearly missed.
