James Windell Wright

James Windell Wright was born on August 28, 1945, to James Pete Wright and Lillian Hazel (Popejoy) Wright in McAlester, Oklahoma and passed away on October 24, 2023, in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years.
James graduated from Bradley High School, later entering into the Army. On April 14, 1971, James married Jean Richardson in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  
James loved family get-togethers where he could have his family all in one place.  He enjoyed cooking, visiting with friends and relatives, and being outdoors.  James will be deeply missed.
Survivors include: his wife, Jean Ann Wright; son, Donnie Wright and Michelle; daughter, Crystal Wright; brother, Bernard Wright; sister, Virginia Wright; grandsons, Phillip Moore and Lane Wright; granddaughters: Carollanne Farmer, Marqi Wright, Brittni Wright; Brooke Hill, Haylee Sherwood and Mayzie Wright; and great grandchildren: Siyllus, Salymm, Shyloh, Saylee, James, Dexley, Emmarie, Damion, Rylan, Celso, Jamison and Daniel.
Preceded in death by: his father, James Pete Wright; mother, Lillian Hazel Popejoy; son, Mark Wright; sister, Hazel Woods; brothers, Clarence Wright, Alton Wright, baby boy Wright, Glenn Wright, and Winford Wright
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Erin Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Sturgell officiating.  Burial at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma.
