Imogene “Jean” Phillips Moody, formerly of Maysville, was born on September 8, 1924 in Oilton, Oklahoma to Lawrence H. and Vinona (Stinnett) McDaniel and passed from this life on Thursday, May 31, 2018 in Mustang, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years.Jean grew up in Oilton. She married James Phillips and to this union two children were born. They lived in Maysville for many years and after Mr. Phillips passed away in 1979, she married Mr. Moody and they made their home in Yukon. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, and watching old westerns on television. Jean was an excellent seamstress who made many of her daughter, Sandy’s clothes. She had attended the First United Methodist Church in Yukon. She will be dearly missed by her family.Her survivors include her husband, Donald Moody of the home in Yukon.A son, Larry Phillips and wife Sue of Rye, Colorado.Son-in-law, Jerry Gamble of Maysville.6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Vinona McDaniel, first husband, James Phillips; daughter, Sandy Gamble; sister, Julia; and brother Paul.Graveside services will held at 2:00 pm, Monday, June 4, 2018 at the Maysville Cemetery with Bro.
