Hugh Brandon

February 24, 1956 — April 3, 2022

Hugh Douglas Brandon of Lindsay was born on February 24, 1956 in DeQueen, Arkansas to Hugh Brandon and Pauline (Prescott) Brandon and passed from this life Sunday, April 3, 2022 in Sulphur at the age of 66 years of age.

Doug grew up in Broken Bow, Oklahoma and made it his home until he moved to Lindsay in 1996. He married Virginia Rouviere on May 29, 1999 and they united their families. He worked hard in the oilfield as a tool pusher/rig manager for several companies around the Lindsay area. Doug loved his family and took care of them and was a role model to his children and grandchildren showing them his amazing work ethic. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Doug was a genuine prankster who enjoyed hiding items from his family. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting in his younger years, gardening, and watching westerns. He quit smoking on his birthday in 2019 and took up enjoying tootsie pop suckers, which he would share them with his dogs. Doug and Virginia were foster parents for 17 years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
