Harold Todd Carr

Harold Todd Carr was born on June 4, 1962, in Lindsay, Oklahoma, to Harold and Patricia (Curtin) Carr. Todd fought a 3 ½-year battle with glioblastoma and passed away peacefully with his family by his side in the early morning of December 13, 2024, in Lindsay at the age of 62.

Todd was a loving husband and father. He married Victoria Suter on October 25, 1986, in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Together, they raised two children: Heath Todd Carr and Cooper Blane Carr. Todd loved his boys unconditionally. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, smoking meats, working in his shop, and carpentry—skills he shared with his father. He loved watching his children compete and always found joy in spending time with them. Todd was also passionate about traveling and experiencing the great outdoors, particularly in Colorado. These hobbies were especially meaningful to him when shared with his boys.

Todd was a hardworking man who worked for the U.S. Corps of Engineers while also serving as a reserve sheriff’s deputy for Sequoyah County. Later, he transitioned to a reserve officer role with the Sallisaw Police Department. He eventually retired from the Corps of Engineers and took a position with the United States Marshals Service.

Todd will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria Carr; sons Heath Carr and Elizabeth Graves of McAlester, Oklahoma, and Cooper and Kate Carr of Yukon, Oklahoma; and sisters Julie and Larry Pearman of Neosho, Missouri, LouAnn and Rick Dorman of Lindsay, Oklahoma, and Kandi and Gary Isbell of Lindsay, Oklahoma.

Todd is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Patricia Carr, and his daughter, Alison Elaine Carr.

Friends and family visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Winans Funeral Home Chapel in Maysville, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
