George Francis Valyo, Jr. of Maysville was born on December 31, 1946 in Jefferson County, Kentucky to George Francis Valyo, Sr. and Florence (Worlinsky) Valyo and passed from this life on March 16, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years.George graduated from high school and attended three years of college before proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force. After the Air Force, he went to work for the Veterans Administration as a surgical technician, nurse, and janitor. George married Sandra Kaye Clubb on June 3, 1967 in Pennsylvania. A year ago they moved from Plymouth, Pennsylvania to Maysville to be close to their daughters and families. He loved his family and spending time with them. George enjoyed fishing, collecting baseball cards, Hot Wheel cars, and coins, and going to flea markets. He attended the First Assembly of God Church of Maysville. George will be dearly missed by his family and friends.His survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sandra Kay Valyo of the home.Sons: George Francis Valyo, III and wife Betty of Nanticoke, Pennsylvania and Joey Valyo of Shickshinny, Pennsylvania.Daughters: Cathy Sims and husband Leo of Shickshinny, Pennsylvania; Margie Eget and husband George of South Carolina; Missy McCoy and husband Jesse of Maysville, Oklahoma; and Sandy Ridenour and husband Carl of Maysville, Oklahoma.20 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.George was preceded in death by his parents, George Valyo, Sr. and Florence Valyo; a son Daniel Valyo; and a sister Jillian Valyo.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 23, 2018 at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Michael Daggett officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
