George Willis Reynolds

George Willis Reynolds was born on October 8, 1942, in Fletcher, Oklahoma to Paul and Celeste (Anderson) Reynolds. He passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, with his wife Judy, of 57 years by his side, at the VA Center in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years.

George was a man of many accomplishments and talents. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, a retired Oklahoma City Fire Fighter Captain, a self-employed home builder and Real Estate Broker. He was a loving husband and father, as well as a good neighbor who built lasting relationships with those around him.

George was also a very accomplished horseman in riding, training, breeding, and showing. He also shared his love of dogs with his wife Judy in their dog breeding and showing endeavors. George likened his relationship with horses to his relationship with God, as master and servant. George was a man of strong faith, a retired pastor and founder of Cowboy Church in Antioch and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Duncan. Throughout his life his motto was to “share Jesus wherever you go.” He enjoyed teaching Bible studies, Sunday School, and mentoring young men in their paths of Christian growth. His most favorite accomplishment was taking his beautiful buckskin horse, Traveler, to help teach children at Vacation Bible School the principal of Master and Servant.

George was not one to sit still. He enjoyed Thunder basketball, traveling, fishing, hunting, trail riding, participating in dog training and canine agility competitions, and watching alien documentaries. George will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

George is survived by: loving wife, Judith Reynolds; daughter: Julia Michelle Reynolds of Comanche, Oklahoma and sons: George Blakely Reynolds and Taiya of Duncan, Oklahoma and Dustin Kyle Reynolds and Evelyn of Darby, Montana; brother, Larry Dale Reynolds and Coleen of Hamilton, Montana; sister, Monica Cloe Metcalf and Gene of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Amanda Nicole Needham and Keith, Benjamin Philip St. John, Kolton Kiowa Deupree, Morgan Rain Deupree, Jessica Michelle Sterling and James, Seth Israel Reynolds, Kylee Celeste Reynolds, Alex Randall Evras, and Moriah Margaretta Evras; and great grandchildren: Ethan James Sterling and Chandler Renfro.
