Geneva Rose Fleming of Lexington, formerly of Maysville, was born on March 8, 1927 in Richmond, Missouri to Lee Schooling and Bess (Faulkerson) Schooling. She passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in Lexington at the age of 91 years.
Geneva grew up in Missouri where she graduated with a B. S. in Education from Central Missouri State College. She married Robert “Bob” Fleming on March 11, 1983 in El Paso and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2016. She was an educator for the Ysleta School System in El Paso, Texas until she retired. After retirement, Geneva and Bob moved to Maysville where they made their home until 2015. She enjoyed full-time R-Ving, watching the North Dakota prairie dogs and antelope play, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs football teams. Geneva was thrilled when she got to travel across the Golden Gate Bridge. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Maysville.
Her survivors include her daughter, Joyce Quaite and husband Michael of Colorado Springs, Colorado. 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Bess Schooling; husband, Robert Fleming; a son, Howard Swann, who was killed in 1968 in the Vietnam War; brother, Donald Schooling; and a sister, Blanche Clemens.
