Gary Lynn Kittrell, 76, of Maysville, OK was born on February 20, 1945 in Elmore City, OK to Cecil T. Kittrell and Nettie F. (Herriage) Kittrell. He passed from this life surrounded by his family on July 7, 2021 in Norman, OK. Gary attended and graduated from Maysville Public Schools in 1963. On June 5, 1965, he married the love of his life, Kay (Bratcher) Kittrell in Maysville, OK. To this union a daughter, Gwendolyn Beth Kittrell and a son, Randy Lynn Kittrell was born. During his life, Gary loved working in the oil field doing wireline. As one of his younger co-workers described, “he was always there to teach someone something or talk about things I had questions about. Don’t forget to celebrate the good and great things about him.”Gary enjoyed the outdoors including striper fishing. He participated in Farming and Ranching on a regular basis with his father-in-law, Garland.He loved people and visiting with his friends. Gary was always good for a story or a clever one-liner. He enjoyed making people laugh.His family was very important to him and he loved having them together whenever possible. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special. Gary is survived by his wife, Kay Kittrell of the home. Son: Randy Lynn Kittrell of Moore, OK. Brother: Ted Kittrell and wife Debbie of Purcell, OK. Grandchildren: Brady Dallas and wife Desarey, Ryan Kittrell, Ryder Kittrell and Rylan Kittrell. Great-Grandchildren: Todd Dallas, Elijah Dallas and Colter Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil T. and Nettie F. Kittrell; a daughter, Gwendolyn Beth Kittrell; brothers, Donald Kittrell, Stanley Kittrell and Timothy Kittrell; sisters, Judy Henry and Carlene Faye McCaskill. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 10, 2021 at First Baptist Church Maysville with burial in Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com.
