Eva Fern “Toni” Self of Noble was born on April 18, 1943 in Phoenix, Arizona to Edgar Earl West and Annie Missouri (Corley) West. She passed from this life on Friday, July 3, 2020 in Noble at the age of 77 years.
Toni grew up in Dibble, OK. She met and married Roderick Richard Becker on September 23, 1958 in Oklahoma City and to this union 3 children were born. They lived in Oklahoma City. Toni attended X-Ray Technician School, then went work as a Technician for Dr. Gregston’s Clinic in Norman. On October 4, 2013 she married Billy Joe Self in Newcastle. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them, and she was an awesome cook. She lit up a room when she walked into it. Toni enjoyed quilting, making greeting cards and rubber stamps, singing, and playing the piano. She was a member of the Sherwood Baptist Church and a true student of the Bible who enjoyed studying the word. She loved her ministry and the church women’s group who made blankets for the women’s shelter. Toni will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband Billy Joe Self of the home in Noble.
Sons: Roderick Richard Becker II and wife Myrna of Elmore City and Robert Warren Becker of Moore.
Daughters: Lori Ann Kent and husband Michael of Oklahoma City and Kimberly Dawn Self of Noble.
A sister, Claudia McAlister of Moore.
Grandchildren: Kevin Wayne Bennett, Joseph Shipman, Kaleb Shipman, Adam Becker, Nathan Becker, Cody Shipman, Katherine Shipman, and step grandchildren, Zachary Michaud, Brandon Self, Jennifer Anderson, Joseph Self, Lane Self, and April Self.
Great grandchildren: Clayton Wayne Bennett, Larmey Braxton Bennett, Haley Ann Bennett, and step great grandchildren: Cadence Anderson and Cianna Anderson
Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Earl and Annie Missouri West; her first husband Roderick Becker; son, Joe Allen Self; brother, Eulus West; sisters, Edna Shuggart, Elsie Johnson, Eileen McAlister, and Evelyn Self.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville, OK.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the Sherwood Baptist Church, Newcastle, OK with Bro. Keith Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Dibble Cemetery, Dibble, OK under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family a www.winansfuneralhome.com
