Edward “Ed” Lee Hammond, 62, of Maysville passed away suddenly on April 4, 2020 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born on February 8, 1958 in Decatur, Illinois to Lee and Patsy ((Walters) Hammond.
Ed worked at the Walmart DC #6042 in Pauls Valley in the maintenance department. He was a mechanic, carpenter, and a Jack-of-all-Trades. He was a hard worker and a very quiet and simple man. Ed loved his grandchildren, children, and family gatherings. He enjoyed his coffee, eating good food, and riding his motorcycle.
His survivors include his daughter, Angel Kettler (Kelly) of Wheatland, Iowa and son, Taylor Hammond of Norman.
Special friend, Dena Hammond of Maysville.
His siblings: Becky Parrish of Maysville, Sherry Cox of Reno, Neveda, Patty Nunnery of Panama City, Florida, and Robbie Hammond of Illinois.
Grandchildren: Joseph Lopez, Joshua Lopez, Karissa (Kissa) Hammond, Jayden Hammond, Ryanne Kettler, and Elly Kettler.
Great granddaughter, Venus Lopez and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
And many friends made over the years.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Shannon Hammond in 1995.
A visitation for family and friends will be held 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Winans Funeral Home.
A celebration of Ed's life will be held at a later date.
