Donna Jo Hampton

Donna Jo Hampton was born on August 26, 1955, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Joe and Pauline (Tow) Southern and passed away peacefully from this life on August 10, 2024, with her loving family by her side at the age of 68 years.

Donna married Frank Hampton on June 22, 1989. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. Donna enjoyed family gatherings and she treasured the time spent with her family. In her youth, Donna would haul hay and cut broomcorn with her daddy and she also enjoyed playing basketball. Donna loved to go antiquing anytime, anywhere and if there was a craft show you would more than likely see Donna there. 

Donna was a member of Erin Springs Baptist Church. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Randy and Kay Hugo (angels of God) who stayed by Donna’s side and took such special care of Donna in her last days.

Survived by: her parents, Joe and Pauline Southern; her loving husband, Frank Hampton; sons: Keith Hampton and Janna of Foster, Oklahoma, Davey Hampton of Marlow, Oklahoma, Chase Hampton and Jan of Cedar Blue, Oklahoma, and Dustin Hampton and Jasmin of Kyle, Texas; brothers: Joe Southern, Jr. of Blanchard, Oklahoma; and sisters: Darlene Maxwell and Kenny of Marlow, Oklahoma and Diane Dutton and James of Foster, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Katlyn Hampton, Emily Callan, Blaine Cooper, Jancy Jones and Trey, Rowdie Clark and Josh, Daliah Hampton, Rivka Hampton, Nicole Cochran, and Valencia Romine; and great grandchildren: Tammy Cooper, Kambri Cooper, Haedyn Jones, Hallie Jones, TJ Jones, Lilly Clark, and Theodore Clark.

Preceded by: her son, Kevin Hampton.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Erin Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Ridgway officiating. Burial at Purdy Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
