Donna Jean Cooper

Donna Jean Cooper of Norman, formerly of Maysville, was born on November 19, 1926 in Cherokee, Oklahoma to Lewis H. and Alice V. (McCrady) Munn and she passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in Coalgate, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years.Jean grew up in Cherokee graduating from Lambert High School in 1944. She moved to Maysville in 1955 living there until 15 years ago when she moved to Norman. She worked as the billing clerk for the Town of Maysville and as a store clerk for LaMascus & Company clothing store. Jean devoted her life to her family and cherished her many friends. She was very involved in her children’s school work and activities. She loved attending the activities of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jean enjoyed playing cards, working jigsaw puzzles, going to basketball games, watching OU sports with her friends, and sewing for her daughters and granddaughter. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Maysville. Jean will be greatly missed by her family and friends.Survivors include her daughters, DeAnn Davis and husband Bob of Oklahoma City and Christie Cooper of Norman.Grandchildren and great grandchildren: Richard Davis and wife Judy of Bismarck, North Dakota and their children, Chance, Rylee, Ramsey, and Jaxynn Davis; Ashley Davis of Oklahoma City and children, Joe Buckendorff and Alexis Buckendorff; and Chad Davis and wife Brooke of Blanchard and son Rhett Davis.Sister-in-law, Geneva Allerding of Coalgate; niece, Mary Lane of Coalgate; nephew, Lee Munn of Coalgate, and extended family and friends.Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Alice Munn; a son, Donald Pryor in 1984; brother, Sam Munn; and sister, Janice Munn.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, April 2, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, Maysville, Oklahoma with Bro. Danny Gamble and Bro. Mike Deviney officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W.
