Donald Lee Stephens

Donald Lee Stephens was born on April 28, 1929 at home in rural Garvin County to Robert Lee Stephens and Tishie (McKinney) Stephens, he was the youngest of 11 children. Donald passed away November 22, 2017 in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years.Donald graduated from Maysville High School in 1949. He married Zelma McManus on July 5, 1952 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He worked many years for the Garvin County Yard in Maysville before going to work for the oil industry as a pumper, retiring from Texaco in 1991. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family and will be dearly missed by them. He was a member the Church of Christ.He is survived by his wife of 65 years Zelma of the home.A daughter, Pam Wingo and son-in-law Scott of Elmore CityGrandsons, Jeremy Wingo and his wife Shelly and their daughter, Jada of Waynoka, Oklahoma and Jared Wingo of Bismark, North Dakota. And also by several nieces and nephews.Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, OK with Jess Wilburn officiating.
