Donald Ray Kay of Lindsay was born August 21, 1935 on the original Kay homestead across from Rush Creek to Ira Luther “Babe” Kay and Elizabeth Grace (Sumpter) Kay. He passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022 at Wallville at the age of 86 years.
Donald was a lifetime resident of the Wallville area. He graduated from Hughes High School in 1953 and obtained an Associates Degree from the University of Oklahoma. He married Linda Fay Park on December 24, 1971 and to this union two daughters were born. They made their home in Wallville where Donald was a self-employed farmer/rancher and he grew soybeans, alfalfa, world feeder bermuda grass, and tended his cattle. Donald was a 32nd degree Mason, Shriner, Republican Party member, and Choctaw Indian member. He was also a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Lindsay.
Survivors include his daughters: Jennifer Kay of Lindsay and Janie Clark and husband Doyle of Wallville. Grandchildren: Tyler and Tyra, Colton, Kalisa, and Kyle Kay; Zac Clark and Brittny, Olivia Clark, and Meagan Clark; and great grandchildren, Bella, Ryelee, and K. J.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Babe and Grace Kay; wife, Linda Kay; and sister, Bobby Kay.
