David Wayne Auld entered this world on October 13, 1938 in Criner, Oklahoma to Bill and Ida Bell (Dunham) Auld and left this earthly life on Friday, June 5, 2020 in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years.
Wayne was a lifetime resident of this area where he attended Bradley High School. He had owned and operated Davron Hot Oil Business in Lindsay, where he made many life long friends through out the years. Wayne married Betty Arnold on February 4, 1989 and they made their home in Cox City, Oklahoma where he really loved working his land and taking care of his cattle. He loved his family and loved spending time with them. He was the best papa ever, attending everything the children and grandchildren were involved in. Wayne enjoyed eating out and traveling with Betty, especially going to Branson. In his younger days he enjoyed coon hunting. Wayne was a man of integrity and always a man of his word. He was a strong man and told Betty that he would always take care of her. He loved his canine companions, Mack and Sparky. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Betty of the home.
Daughters: Torie Townley and husband, Rodney of Maysville; Kim Kraft and Wayne’s honorary daughter, Teri Carruth of Maysville; Debra Smith and husband Jack of Duncan; Diane Powell and husband Randy of Lindsay.
Son, Daryl Auld of Lindsay.
Grandchildren: David Auld of Lindsay; Kaitlynn Sanders and Terry of Pauls Valley; Kaycee Kraft; Danni Olson and Dylan of Edmond; Caleb Townley of Maysville; and Jamie Townley of Maysville.
Great grandchildren: Kambry, Taisley, and Ramsie Sanders.
Brothers: Jerry Auld and wife Cathy of Blanchard; Vernon Auld and wife Martha of Colcord; and Ed Auld of Dibble.
And a dear friend he called brother, William Slay.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ida Auld; son, Gene Auld; and sisters, Mildred Auld Reed and Karen Auld Lane.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the Abundant Love Fellowship, Maysville with Bro. Danny Gamble officiating.
Following the State of Oklahoma guidelines for Phase three re-opening, social distancing will be utilized. Burial in the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay will be open to the public with social distancing guidelines in place. Arrangements are under the direction of John W.
